Tim Hercock – Managing Director

Tim Hercock joined Vacu-Lug in 2002 as Managing Director, bringing with him extensive experience gained in the automotive and consumer goods manufacturing industries.

Tim Hercock began his career in the Army, where he served for ten years as a reconnaissance officer in the 9th/12th Lancers Regiment. On leaving the service, he spent four years working for the Courtauld Group marketing automotive components. He then spent three years in the USA with the Sara Lee Group, where he was involved in the sales of polyurethane films and medical and defence industry equipment.

Dave Alsop – Fleet Sales Director

As Fleet Sales Director for Vacu-Lug Dave Alsop is responsible for a range of functions including business development and account relationship management, plus the marketing and promotion of the company’s products and services nationwide.

Dave Alsop joined Vacu-Lug in 2007 from Euro Auctions, where he managed the company’s sales of commercial vehicles, plant and earthmoving equipment. Prior to that he worked for RAC Automotive Solutions, before which he spent ten years in Contract Sales for Scania Great Britain.

Neil Marston – Fleet Operations Director

The role of Fleet Operations Director for Vacu-Lug, a post Neil Marston has held since 1993, carries overall responsibility for the management of all the company’s managed contracts. This involves ensuring contract performance targets are met, as well as negotiating service level agreements and managing the company’s breakdown service. Neil also plays an important role in the development of Vacu-Lug’s products.

An engineer by trade, Neil Marston has spent 31 years in the tyre industry. Prior to Vacu-Lug, he worked for Pirelli Tyres and ATS Euromaster.

John Parsons – Finance Director

As Finance Director for Vacu-Lug Traction Tyres Limited, John Parsons holds overall responsibility for the financial performance of the business. Prior to joining the company John spent five years with Halfords Limited, six years with Williams Holdings group of companies and two years with the National Freight Corporation.

Brian Barron – Plant Manager

With 34 years’ experience within the tyre industry, Plant Manager, Brian Barron, is directly responsible for all aspects of manufacturing and engineering at the Vacu-Lug site. He is also heavily involved in the successful implementation of Vacu-Lug’s ISO Quality Management and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.

Brian began working for Vacu-Lug in 2001, bringing with him his extensive technical expertise of tyre retreading, across all tyre types and sizes and encompassing all processing systems – namely Car, Truck, Earthmover, Hotcure and Precure.

He is a former Chairman of the UK Retread Manufacturer’s Association (RMA) Technical Committee, and a twice-former City & Guilds Candidate of the Year. Brian also holds a degree in World Class Manufacturing and has trained over 100 students to successful qualification at City & Guilds.
